Cannon Hill Dental

Coffee Cart Activation

Coffee cart activation — local, warm, and perfectly branded.

As part of the Maven Dental network, Cannon Hill Dental is what we call "unbranded" — an independently named practice that runs its own identity while leveraging national campaigns under the hood. The goal? Make it feel personal, local, and community-led — while benefiting from the marketing engine of a larger group.

This activation was the perfect example of how to do that well.

Industry: Healthcare Marketing
Client: Cannon Hill Dental
(Abano Healthcare)
Role: In-house Brand & Creative Lead

Community-first marketing

We launched a local coffee cart activation designed to build awareness, connect with the neighbourhood, and drive appointment bookings — all without the cold, corporate feel.

The experience included:

  • Free coffee for passersby

  • Smile-branded coffee cups and napkins

  • Gift vouchers for dental check-ups

  • In-practice flyers and tear-drop banners

  • Social media posts and stories

  • Promotional signage and A-frames

Everything was custom-branded for Cannon Hill Dental — using the same base campaign concept from Maven, but tailored with new colours, logos, and messaging that felt hyper-local.

Corporate without the "corporate"

One of the biggest challenges in dental marketing is overcoming the perception that corporate = clinical. Practices often want the backing and support of a larger network (for marketing, systems, admin), without losing their independent spirit.

This activation showed that balance in action. The local team stayed focused on care and connection, while the marketing engine behind-the-scenes kept the visuals tight, on-brand, and strategic.

No paperwork, no stress. Just new patients and good coffee.

The results? A warm welcome

The campaign created genuine community buzz, with new patients walking in, sharing the activation online, and re-engaging with the brand. The team loved it. The neighbourhood noticed. And the coffee cups did their job — warming people up to Cannon Hill Dental before they even stepped inside.
