What started as a simple pitch deck became the foundation for a complete brand direction now used across Gurru’s social, internal marketing, and client presentations.

It sparked a whole new brand direction.

Gurru is a waste management company on a mission to simplify commercial recycling for property groups, facilities teams, and tenants alike.

Originally brought in by marketing consultant Julia Jackson, we were tasked with designing a pitch deck to help Gurru secure new clients and communicate their offering with more clarity. But this wasn’t just about putting slides together - it was about sharpening their message, elevating their design, and creating a presentation that made people care about waste.

How we helped:

Gurru’s team approached us with a simple brief: design a pitch deck that clearly communicated their value to large-scale commercial property managers. With a tight turnaround and a high-stakes opportunity on the line, we stepped in to bring clarity, polish and strategic design thinking to the table.

From layout and hierarchy to copy refinement and visual storytelling, we built a deck that positioned Gurru as a serious, scalable solution, and not just another waste management provider. The new look and feel introduced in the deck sparked an internal brand shift, with our design language now being repurposed across their social media and marketing. What started as a quick project turned into the foundation for a brand that feels as smart and streamlined as the service itself.

The Result?

A bold, polished pitch deck that not only landed in front of key decision-makers but also laid the foundation for Gurru’s evolving visual identity. From colour palette to type to layout hierarchy - the new look has since been repurposed across their LinkedIn, social content, and wider marketing. A one-off deck that quietly became their brand playbook.
